Twenty-fourth century loses allure
I think it was yesterday morning while I was doing creative writing that I felt a cool breeze blow in through the window, while there was steam rising from my coffee in front of the window. I was lying down on the bed with the computer on my lap. It was a magic moment, magic like a little miracle of life, magic like films can be magic except this was real. Like Martha Beck had said in one of her articles, there are miracles happening around you all the time, once you open your eyes to them.
I am enjoying the adventure of my life now, and no longer fantasizing about living in the 24th century. I think I had a dream with Major Kira, and she had long hair, longer than it is in the beginning of season seven. Actually I should call her Commander Kira, as she is now a Commander by season seven. She was a little bit lost and ditzy, but also deep down she knew clearly what she wanted and what was important to her. That’s something I should remember about myself, it’s a good sign.
