The past interrupts the present
I had a nice evening last night. It was nice to just say to myself, “It’s 9PM, the rest of the evening is mine,” and then I folded clothes and did some reading. I had also watched Star Trek TNG at 9PM, and it was one of the best episodes ever [sc., “Yesterday’s Enterprise”], the one where the Enterprise C comes 22 years into the future, alters the timeline, Tasha Yar is still alive, and she goes back in time with the Enterprise C, choosing an honorable death for herself and also getting to stay close to and help the guy she is starting to fall in love with.
M__’s visit here last week, and how it happened just as I had the fight (not even a fight, it was me sharing my feelings with G__ honestly for the first time in a while) with G__, it actually helped me a lot. There will be a lot of shifts in my life in coming weeks. But none of them will be completely unfamiliar. Like that feeling I got in Victoria Station after dropping off S____—it was something I hadn’t felt in a long long time, but still it was familiar.
